Edinburgh residents are commenting on the cities weeds. Some say the city is looking untidy / unkept / messy , some say big weeds are becoming a trip hazard , some are questioning where our council tax money is going and one person has even recorded a weed 30cm tall !

Scientists & independent researchers (those free from vested interests) are discovering that the weedkiller glyphosate is not only dangerous to animals and humans but is becoming less effective at actually killing weeds
In Balerno, residents are fortunate that the council have not used Glyphosate or any other harmful to health & environment chemicals since 2020. Residents remove weeds manually outside their homes and the council is now looking to introduce safe alternatives citywide.
It is clear to see that the weeds in Edinburgh need to be removed but it is crucial that we ask for this to be done safely without resorting to harmful to health chemicals
